82,478 Tickets For Confd. Cup 2017 Requested From Fans Around The World

Total of 82,478 tickets for FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 football tournament had been requested from fans around the World during first sales window. Russian fans requested most number of tickets followed by the Chilean fans. First sales window of tickets closed on 19th January 2017 at 12:00 CET. Total of 48,504 tickets for the tournament had been already sold during the Visa pre-sales phase between 8 and 17 November 2016. Tickets Purchased by 5 April 2017 will be delivered by courier service free of charge as of April 2017.

After clinching the first ever Copa America title in 2015, Chile qualified for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 football tournament. As the nation is making debut in this competition, fans wants to witness the live action. 4,949 tickets have been requested by Chilean fans, more than any other nation.

Falk Eller, Head of FIFA’s ticketing said “The sales system in place ensures that fans all around the world have fair and equal access to tickets. The number of ticket requests from Chile confirms the great appeal of the tournament, not only in Russia but also abroad, as some fans are willing to cross the world to see their team play in the FIFA Confederations Cup.”

“We are convinced that the Tournament of Champions will have a thrilling atmosphere in the stands and that the coming sales phases will enable more fans to secure their tickets,” the head added.

Ticket sales for Russian residents, Special Access tickets for disabled people, people with limited mobility and obese people will resume on 1 March via FIFA.com/tickets in the first come first served sales period. Ticket purchases will be allocated as a real time transaction to the ticket applicants.
