Eto’o Boosts Cameroon Players To Make Marc Vivien Foe Proud At Confdederations Cup

After clinching the fifth Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon will compete for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 this year in Russia. Remember Late Marc Vivien Foe, former Cameroon Footballer Eto’o boosted his players ahead of the competition. According to Samuel Eto’o, Hugo Broos’s team must go and make Marc Vivian Foe proud at the event.

Cameroon came from behind to steal 1-2 victory over Egypt in the final of Africa Cup of Nations 2017. Samuel Eto’o was in the stands of Libreville stadium who witnessed the fifth AFCON triumph of Cameroon.

Cameroon became the 8th and last National Football Team qualified for the finals of FIFA Confederations Cup 2017. They’ll play against World Champions Germany, CONMEBOL Champions Chile and OFC Champions Australia in group stage.

Eto’o tweeted on Twitter with a photo of Foe saying “Seeing Cameroon in the Confederations Cup reminds me of 2003. We will never forget you Foe! This team will make you proud, wherever you are. #playforfoe.”

Marc Vivien Foe died on 26th June 2003 during a semi final match of Confederations Cup against Colombia. He had played in wins against Brazil and Turkey but was rested for the game against United States ahead of the Colombia fixture.
