Former German and Dynamo Moscow striker Kevin Kuranyi says that Germany are the favourites to win the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 football championship. Kuranyi who played Confederations Cup also stated that Russia’s time will come. From year 2003 to 2008 he played 52 games for German National Team in which he scored 19 goals. The striker was member of National team when Germany finished at third spot in FIFA Confederations Cup 2005 edition.

The 35 years old retired Footballer said “When I had just moved to Moscow, I thought Russians were closed and intense. That was the wrong impression. You just need to talk with people on a personal level and they really open themselves up, becoming the friendliest and most open individuals on the planet.”

Germany played FIFA Confederations Cup 2005 and scored at least two goals in every game. But later they were knocked out by furious Brazilian team in semi final. At that time, Brazil were the favorites to win the competition. About that Brazilian team, he said
“One look at the Brazil squad for the tournament was enough to understand they were the favourites. There were no weaknesses to the line-up; you had colossal players in absolutely every position.”
