Vitaly Mutko, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia stated that he is worried about slow ticket sales of FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 set to begin from 17th June this year. He also said that sales of ticket after the ending of first phase was below expectations. Last week, FIFA released a statement stating sales of 211,475 ticket. The second phase ticket sales starts from April 19.
Slow Ticket Sales Worries Russian Official
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Mutko said “There are worries about ticket sales. We hope the situation will improve it isn’t growing in the best way”.

As the tournament will be hosted in Russia, most ticket requests have been registered by hosts. After Russia, most fans from Chile have requested for Confederations Cup tickets.
More sales outlets will be open from 19th April that could see increase in ticket sales. Total 695,000 tickets are available for all matches of FIFA Confederations Cup, but 211,475 tickets have been sold so far. Ticket prices for the competition starts from £56 of Group stage to almost £200 for the final of tournament.
For this edition of Confederations Cup, special obese tickets have been introduced for obese people. They’ll get extra space and accommodation after a legal document from a doctor.
