Vivo is the Smartphone Sponsor of FIFA For Next 6 Years: It’s official that Chinese mobile company Vivo is the new sponsor company of FIFA. This means Vivo will sponsor FIFA Confederations Cup 2017, FIFA World Cup 2018, FIFA Confederations Cup 2021 and FIFA World Cup 2022. The company steps up efforts to boost global exposure by embracing international sports events. Recently, the company sponsored India’s biggest cricket league known as Indian Premier League.

Under the deal, Vivo is expected to roll out customized FIFA World Cup smartphones to appeal to global fans. The logo of Vivo will appear during every game on the pitch advertising boards, tickets, media releases and other promotional platforms.

According to data from market research, Vivo was the World’s 5th biggest smartphone seller in the first quarter of 2017. During that period more than 18.1 Million units of smartphones were shipped across the World. Its year on year growth rate in the 1st quarter hit 23.6% which is faster than Samsung Electronic and Apple Inc.
